Am I the only one who thinks that Louis C.K. is the most overrated comedian on today’s comedy circuit? Granted, his jokes are funny and his show on FX is fantastic, but coming from a guy who has listened to guys like George Carlin and Robin Williams over the years as well as performing stand-up at a few comedy clubs and bars, I can honestly say that his delivery is not that great. I’m not saying that my delivery is that great, but the one thing any comedian will tell you is that delivery is what makes a joke truly work.

My entire high school experience. At the risk of sounding like a whiny emo bitch, I remember crying an awful lot and listening to a shitload of Marilyn Manson and Pink Floyd records in the process. Those albums understood me.

I have been a fan since 2008.

Then The High End of Low came out a year later and I thought it was a good album. I loved how diverse it was.

Born Villain will probably be good. The names of the tracks are not what appeals to me. I’ve heard some of the songs off of the album and thought the music was good. I didn’t care if “No Reflection” was called “I’m Marilyn Manson and I’m a Certified Brony.” Shit would still rock.

As far as progression goes, let’s take a look at all of his albums…

PORTRAIT OF AN AMERICAN FAMILY - Alternative industrial rock
ANTICHRIST SUPERSTAR - Industrial metal with a hardcore punk feel
MECHANICAL ANIMALS - Glam metal with commercial and radio-friendly appeal
HOLY WOOD - Heavy metal with industrial feel. More of a Sabbath-turned-goth album than anything.
GOLDEN AGE OF GROTESQUE - Same as Holy Wood, I felt. You’d be right at the no progression part here.
EAT ME, DRINK ME - Gothic glam rock. Some metal moments here and there.
THE HIGH END OF LOW - Post-rock, Folk rock, Industrial metal, Alternative metal.
